Based on code quality defects spotted by SonarQube, Scertify™ TechDebt computes an estimate of the remediation cost (total time needed to fix all code quality issues). Is your code better than the average? Scertify™ TechDebt enables developers to compare SonarQube’s metrics (size, complexity, violations, code coverage, API documentation…) of their code against other projects. Two benchmarking modes are available:
- Local Benchmark [NEW]: Compare your project against a local repository fed by projects within your team, departement, enterprise. This features implies the installation of a Benchmark Server included in Scertify™ TechDebt and dedicated resources (an Apache Tomcat server, an ActiveMQ instance and a database).
- Community Benchmark: Based on the data contained in our community TechDebt repository, Scertify™ TechDebt enables you to compare code quality against thousands of other anonymized projects from the open source and software industry (6K projects, 1.4 billion lines of code).

Customization of Rules Remediation Costs [NEW]
In order to get an accurate estimate of your Technical Debt based on your own experience, Scertify™ TechDebt allows you to customize remediation costs (ie: time needed to fix an issue) for each rule violation. You can also flag rules as "false positive" and customize impacted quality characteristics (reliability, testability, …) which are used to generate action plans.
Smart TechDebt-oriented Task Plans to JIRA
Scertify™ TechDebt generates smart remediation task plans according to your strategy: Time available allocated for corrections (ie: 20 minutes before leaving the office), quality characteristics to prioritize (ex: Maintainability, Security, Reliability…) and preferred impact on project (local, quick wins or exhaustive corrections). According to these 3 information and violations found in code, Scertify™ TechDebt generate an optimized action plan.
Once your task plan is ready, you can automatically transforms these tasks into detailed Atlassian JIRA tickets, containing estimated time for resolution, violation severity, impacted quality domain, etc.
